I agree. The backlash is ridiculous. But what can you expect from the intolerant left. They claim tolerance & shove it down the throats of conservatives, but if your view differs from them you're a hater.

I think he has a right to say whatever he likes, but I have the right to think he is a moron for it.

I couldn't give a shit what anyone believes as long as they aren't trying to make laws taking or preventing people from practicing their freedoms. He isn't doing that, so I don't care. Do I think he is an idiot for believing what he does? Yep. But I feel that way about most people whose only reasoning behind anything is "The Bible said so."

I don't really think it's 'hate speech', just an opinion.

If you don't like gay people you are a bigot in my eyes. (a general "you") And the whole left and right thing Saying someone is unnatural and the downfall of civilization IS hate speech.

I think he is entitled to his opinion just as anyone else is. People on both sides need to realize not everyone is going to agree. As long as he's not preaching hateful things, who cares.

What if he said those same things but about black people? Then would he be entitled to his opinion? I love how people think its okay to say derogatory statements about gays and it's okay. It's not. The same people today fighting against gay marrige would be the same ones fighting for segregation in the 50's.

I think what he said was crappy and narrow minded, but he can say what he wants. Everyone has an opinion. If he were a senator or something like that, saying those things as a way to try to propose a marriage ban or a similar legislation, it'd be way different. IMO, anyway. Yes, I know politicians do use that to propose such things, and that sucks. Cameron isn't doing it though, he's just running his mouth.

I think no matter the topic, people are entitled to say what they please. They must need to be prepared for the repercussions.

The same people today fighting against gay marrige would be the same ones fighting for segregation in the 50's. That's nonsense and the 2 are not comparable. I'm over the 2 being compared because black and gay are complete different issues. In HIS mind and HIS logic, if everyone was gay there would be no procreation. I can't imagine that he (or anyone else) could make a statement like that about black people. Except maybe if all black people had kids with all white people we'd only have tan people left. lol But, if someone has the opinion that they just don't like black people, oh well, they have every right to have that opinion as long as they aren't abusive, violent, discriminatory, or oppressive to black people. Growing up in an inner city that was mostly black and hispanic there were plenty of people that didn't like white people AND were very vocal about it. I never really saw anyone freak on them for it. Anyone can have any feeling or opinion they have as long as they aren't breaking laws or hurting others. All they are is limiting their own selves and lives from meeting and being friends with great people.

I think he has a right to say whatever he likes, but I have the right to think he is a moron for it. But isn't calling him a "moron" or "idiot" or "hater" for his lifestyle because you disagree with him/it just as bad as calling a homosexual a "faggot" or a black person a "nigger" because you disagree with their lifestyle? My opinion is that people can't have it both ways, judging one side and degrading them but flipping their collective shit if someone disagrees with them. Calling a Christian an idiot, moron, sheep etc = acceptable Saying you don't think homosexuality is ok = biggoted hate speech It's like 2+2= chair

No, I can see the comparison - just like someone can't choose the color of their skin, neither can they choose their sexual orientation.
