That's nonsense and the 2 are not comparable. I'm over the 2 being compared because black and gay are complete different issues
These 2 issues go hand in hand. People think it's okay to hate on gays because people still think it's a choice they made. You can have racist or bigoted opinions but please keep them to yourself. I would never want to be friends with someone who holds hatred in their heart. Weather it be for blacks or gays.

I think he has a right to say whatever he likes, but I have the right to think he is a moron for it. But isn't calling him a "moron" or "idiot" or "hater" for his lifestyle because you disagree with him/it just as bad as calling a homosexual a "faggot" or a black person a "nigger" because you disagree with their lifestyle? My opinion is that people can't have it both ways, judging one side and degrading them but flipping their collective shit if someone disagrees with them. Calling a Christian an idiot, moron, sheep etc = acceptable Saying you don't think homosexuality is ok = biggoted hate speech It's like 2+2= chair Not really. Were the freedom riders and civil rights workers in the 60's wrong for trying to change things? I will call a bigot a bigot. It doesn't make me anything but right.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcaNqecbtykThis is his original interview. "I think homosexuality is unnatural and it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to the foundations of civilization." Hmmmmmmmm not hate speech huh?

Kirk said he loves all people including gay straight and Bi, so that's not hate in his heart. Didn't we all agree that you can care for a person and still not agree with their "lifestyle"?

Just don't cry about it if you get responses you don't like. If you want to make a bold statement, be prepared. I personally don't agree with him. I think he is wrong. But he has every right to say what he wants, just as I have every right to want to smack him silly. Will I smack him sillly? No. I just don't take him seriously. I think people like that are nutty. People go on and on about how wonderful God is. How forgiving and fair and blah blah blah. Then leave the judging up to God and keep your mouth shut, at least in the media. Don't shame people for living their life. But if you do, don't get offended when people come back at you.

I also think people who feel the need to preach and spread "the word of god" are full of themselves. Who the hell do you think you? What makes you think god would pick you out of all the people on the planet? You are no better than the person next to you. Save your judging.
That is a general you.

Good Lord... he has a different opinion, big deal. Its no different than people defending the muslim faith or jewish faith or any faith for that matter. If it doesnt affect you than who gives a shit? Hes not running for public office for Christs sake. Now shut the fuck up and pass the birth control. :-P

I don't agree with that. You can't be all like I like you but you're totally gonna burn in hell because you're a disgusting homo. It doesn't work that way.

But I'm tired of these Christian people trying to convert everyone in America or the world for that fact over to Christianity. Or trying to mix church and state. Ever heard of the Taliban? I don't want religion all up in my government.

Oooohhhhhh laaawwwddd. Are you confusing Christianity for Jehovahs witness or Mormanism? Last time I checked I never shoved my religion down anyones throat and quite often tolerate the HATE that labels my beliefs but I TOLERATE others bullshit because ultimately it doesnt affect me or my belief in Christ. Its called being a grown up.

I wasn't taking about you. Just Christians in general. Evangelical and Baptist ones to be exact. I went to churches in FL some baptist some mega churches and all of them MADE us kids preach to strangers on the street to try to save them. And Christian churches are forever sending missionaries to 3rd world countries to preach the word of god to these poor people. I know other religions do it too. I am not a fan of any religion they all are dumb to me. I only have experience with Christian so that's what I speak about.
And to me if you (general you) think homosexuality is wrong, immoral, unnatural, detrimental, and ultimately destructive to the foundations of civilization, and you think they are doomed to burn in hell. Then I think that you (general you) are a bigot.
I want nothing to do with people like that. Period. End of story.

I dont make windows into peoples souls. Thats not my job. Its not my job to judge who goes to Heaven, Hell, or a parallel universe in fairy land. Thats the point I think youre missing. My belief in Christ has no bearing on your life or anyone elses for that matter. My moral compass isnt driven by the trendy view at any given point in society. Its somethig in my gut that I believe for ME. If I believe that homosexuality is unnatural that doesnt make me a hater. It means I have a different view than someone else. It has never dictated who I chose to have in my life. I surround myself with all sorts of people of different race, religion, creeds and genders according to how I like them as a person and nothing else. Holy shit thats right...Im a Christian that likes er'body. The point is that its hypocritical and judgemental to judge people based on religion, beliefs, or anything else other than their merits as a fellow human being. Pot...kettle...you see where Im going with this.

And if Kirk believes youre going to Hell does that then means that he automatically hates you? Nope.

Wow.
First off, Kirk is not providing hate speech. There are some very specific passages in the Bible that do reference homosexuality and that it is wrong. But there are also others that say to be tolerant, loving, and not judging.... to leave the judging up to God.
Ever hear the term "Hate the sin, not the sinner"?
Second, yes, Christian churches DO send missionaries overseas to 3rd world countries. They provide a world of good to those areas. Saving lives, setting up villages. If an atheist group wants to do one, by all means go and do the same. The missionaries are there to provide help, they don't chain the people up and make them listen to Bible class, and these people will be provided help whatever their beliefs.
I'll just ditto to VooDoo's post: I dont make windows into peoples souls.
