When did you bring your kid(s) to see a movie for the first time?
I REALLY want to see Lion King in 3D, but we'd have to bring K. I wanted her to see it anyway. She can sit through an entire cartoon, mainly Disney, movie. What do you think? I don't want to be that arsehole so that's why I am getting opinions. She is 2.

Luke started going at about 1, and loved it. He was so good. Connor is 17 months and I will not be taking him to another movie for a long, long time.
I guess it depends on the kid. Doesn't hurt to try and then take her out if she flips her shit.

Yea, I would definitely take her out and go home if she starts being noisy, etc. I wouldn't want to ruin it for others. If we take her, we plan on during the day.

During the day fresh after a nap worked great with Luke. I brought him his one snacks and drinks that he liked just in case.

I think Ryan is mature enough. He will sit completely still and stare at the tv when Toy Story 3 is on. Plus, Lion King is a kids movie. There's a leniency with kids movies that there isn't for kids watching adult movies.

Someone I know told me she takes her son (about 2) and takes his car seat in and buckles it and everything and she has NO problems because he knows when he's in it he sits I haven't tried it with B yet but I'm tempted since he loves his carseat so much.

I took B at 12 months to see Hop. He was amazed by the screen and then fell asleep within the first 25 minutes. I'm no sure I'd even attempt it at his age now....he can't even sit still for five minutes at our own home.

Kids are supposed to be brats during kids movies.
They shouldn't be at adult movies.
It's 3D though...I personally think it's a waste of time and money to take a young child to a 3D movie, and sometimes, it scares them. But give it a shot! The worst that will happen is that the kid is awful, and you take them out!

Isn't there a scene where there's a stampede? Can the movie be seen without the 3D glasses? It's been so long since I've seen a 3D movie - back in the day when the glasses had a red lens and a blue lens.

I took my youngest when she was around 2. She did okay. She tried to wander BUT decided that it was more fun to eat the popcorn off the floor in the aisle.

Can you still buy theater tickets on base and use them out in town?
