Every thing that could go wrong in regards to me school, is.
First we saw that childcare is outrageous. It was $155/week in NC. Out here for a comparable school it is $234/week. To fix that we have been trying to get her into Head Start. well first they wouldn't take her until her IEP was updated for here which they wont start doing until mid September. Thats a long process so we are looking at October at the earliest. Then today I find out they wont have any room for the new school year anyways!
Then there is the matter of financial aid. SO originally MYCAA was going to pay for classes (they also have this governors thing so I don't even have to use my MYCAA) and I was going to get FAFSA like I did in NC for cost of books a few supplies and we need a new laptop because Michaels is broken and I wanted one that was just mine. Well out here they have a requirement that you have to have successfully completed 70% of the credits (or units as they call them) that you have attempted for your entire college career. They could calculate this a few different ways because some one my classes say 0 on the transcript because they were developmental/remedial and even though for payment purposes they have credits, they aren't college classes so it says 0. So lets pretend those classes dont even count (which would be in my favor in reality) I'm still at 57.1% which they will graciously round up to a whopping 52%. Naturally, I realize this is my fault because from ooooohhhh Fall of 2003 to Fall of 2004 I was a complete dumbass which accounts for 27 attempted credit 6 of which I earned. -.- But since then for 5 years of schooling I have shown that I have successfully completed all but 1 class that I attempted.
Anyways, now I will probably not be able to get financial aid. Which I can handle because my classes are paid for... EXCEPT NOW I DONT HAVE HEAD START! lol So where I could have gotten some student loans to cover the ridiculous cost of childcare that not only will she benefit from because she needs that kind of interaction - shes already regressing so badly in her language- but I needed it for one freakin class and it would have been helpful to do my online school work while she is in school. GAH
I know its not that bad in the long run except looking at it from what she needs but I'm just annoyed. Every day it's something else.
AAAAAHHHHHH
