I can't post it on my facebook as there's some of Dh's family on there My FIL was told we bought a house with solar power, today Dh gets an email with a scanned article from FIL about a wind-farm out in Texas or somewhere that went bust (they lost their funding or something) FIL tells Dh to be careful about that "solar crap, if the solar farm loses it's funding, you won't have power." And "be careful she (meaning ME) doesn't talk into anything you can't handle financially." (Excuse me while I go bang my head against a brick wall)

We actually get a credit on our bill every month as the electric company buys our excess power generated by our roof panels.
If the power ever DOES go out during the day, I won't even notice as the solar is supplying 100% of what we use during daylight hours!

I'm tempted to do that and send it from MY email so FIL will know I saw the part about me talking Dh into spending more than we can afford. The man insists on digging that hole deeper and deeper for himself!
The whole family is "oil". They all work for or are invested in it. Anything that cuts oil out is a BAD thing to them, LOL!
I should buy a electric car since charging it would be covered by the solar and totally freak FIL out.
