I guess it's a good thing I had my hysterectomy done got the pathology report back and I had the beginning stage of cervical cancer apparently the stage where there is a very small amount of cancer, and it can be seen only under a microscope. but had I not had the surgery who knows what would have happened, oh and i also had HPV which I don't understand why they did not pick this up at my Pap smear in Sept and March?

I also have HPV! It sucks!! My pap came back abnormal this year so I had to go through another colpo....ouch!! Felt like they were mutilating my insides! I was just coming up on my 2 year mark for clean paps too after my first bad one....was almost in the clear!!

HPV comes and goes. Since you only get a pap once every year or two or more, chances of them hitting it if it's not acting up are slim. People can have HPV for years and not even know it!! Glad they did all they did for you Sharon so you hopefully don't have to go through more now!

Gosh, Sharon.. glad that you're alright and that was taken care of before it ever became an issue. I'm actually waiting on results of a colposcopy, as I type, and am super nervous.
