Yes. It really is. My husband was in the career planners office every day once he put in for orders. They'll come!

Breathe. If it makes you feel any better, my husband dropped papers about 6 weeks ago. He'd always talked about staying until 30 but since last summer he casually mentioned retirement. He'd always say, don't worry I'm just venting. He goes on terminal leave 6/5 and last day of USMC 8/31. As of right now, we don't know where we are going to be living and he doesn't have a job. He's got some great leads BUT we are still waiting to find out. We have an idea where we want to go but we can't make any plans until he finds a job. I am a planner, I really don't like not knowing WTF at all. I've come to grips with it BUT at first I was stressing big time. Just keep in mind that monitors have lots of people to keep track of so she may just be really busy. As much as as you want to know WTF, just keep a realistic mind about things - no one is ever on the same page as you when it comes to this kind of stuff unfortunately. lol

See if he can ask if she's on leave or something. Dh had a female monitor at one point when he first lat moved.....she was out for 6 weeks on maternity leave and the guy assigned to pick up the slack, well.......I hope he got a crappy fitness report. The entire class he was in had NO clue where they were supposed to go after graduation until THREE days before the class graduated. WTH?? The SCHOOL was calling demanding crap get done and this dude could have cared less!
I like the system Dh has now much better! It consisted of calling the senior guy in his MOS, asking what's available and then asking how fast can you get me there? No monitor required!!
Just in time too, his old unit is seriously effing up to the point some people may be relieved!
I had boxes packed in 09 and then they PCA'd him......pfft.... I just kept them packed.

She's not on leave. She's just not doing her freaking job. =\ He just contacted a senior guy though and has been talking back and forth with him a few days now, so hopefully something gets figured out.

Wow, will that affect that custody issue? I hope not. I really don't expect it to. Lets just hope it goes fine. If all goes well, that should be finished and out of our way in just about a month.
