There are a few i find reasonable. Why would cancer divorce or roaches be on a standardized test? Even if it were the reading portion with news articles there should be better options. A kid whose parents are going through a divorce or who lives in a roach infested apartment or whose sibling has cancer would probably be distracted by those things on a test. Dinosaurs, birthdays, and halloween, get the fuck over it. Theres sensitive and then theres ridiculous. If youre a jehovahs witness and cant take your kid seeing the mention of a birthday or a christian, jew, etc. Who flips about dinosaurs you need to pull your kid out of public schools. Public schools dont need to cater to every minority and that includes religious minorities.
