Anyway, I made my own "bisquick" mix, which I found a recipe for here: www.aroundmyfamilytable.com/2011/07/homemade-bisquick/ (I used rendered bacon fat instead of commercial shortening) then added a diced apple, leftover bacon (cut into slices), a handful of smoked cheddar and half a sauteed onion. They came out so nice, although to get the golden color on top, I had to broil them for about a minute and a half.
