So my husband dropped papers last week. He goes on terminal leave in 2 1/2 months with a retirement date of 8/31. He'd been talking about it in the past few months but I honestly didn't think he was going to do it.
My husband's back issues have gotten pretty bad in the past few months so he's sad yet relieved he finally did it. I, on the other hand, am having a hard time. lol I really am surprised it is having this effect on me. I think once the shock wears off, I'll be fine. I've been with him longer than his USMC career so it's going to be weird not being around a bunch of Marines. Wah....
