Pendleton Housing is not as good as the house on TT2 that we have. It makes me sad. They big homes that I like have only a small concrete porch like we had in Hawaii about 1/2 the size of our concrete porch here and no yard. The homes that come with an awesome back yard are tiny and have a kitchen I don't have room to make a pie in let alone a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.
On a good note: all the ranges are gas!

Yeah, I was less than impressed too, it's possible we could get a newer house in SLR, but most likely they'd just give us the same thing what we have now.
Housing is just the backup plan though, we are getting the pre-approval taken care of this week so we can drop an offer as soon as we find a house we both like.
Just hope to get everything done before he deploys.....ugh.

Yep, we'll be out there by the third week in April, he checks in June 1.
He's already checked out of his unit here, except for some fitness reports they want him to submit before he leaves. His replacement is already here, so he's training him too.

I have lived in Stuart Mesa, about a block from the school on Vandeventer, the houses are big, yards not so much. My laundry room was as large as a bedroom. Stuart Mesa also has a incentive, you get something like 350 back a month from your BAH.

I dont need a HUGE yard but a yard is better than a concrete porch. lol Plus Michael will be working at Edson Range so it's right there.

Grr. Yesterday someone told me it was dog and cat friendly. But I called and it's only dog friendly. I need to convince the hubs to go out in town. I'll find a house that will work for us and hopefully he will be happy with that. :/

We lived there when no pets were allowed at all because it was pretty new. What about Wire Mountain? Do you qualify for that? The old houses there had yards but IDK if the newer ones do?

I think south mesa is the one we decided. I think. Lol wm3 had the back yards but I couldn't handle the kitchen. It was way too small.

Count your blessings that it wasn't Oki. Those houses made me die inside when I saw them.

the new South Mesa housing is so nice! the houses are big and the yards are good too (i cant remember if south mesa 4 had big yards but i do know they have big houses). i didnt care for stuart mesa, they are small imo and dont have yards either....more like community grass areas behind the houses....you'll have your little slab of concrete but not your own grass area. Wire Mountain 2 houses are nice and big but no yards either. SOME areas of Stuart Mesa are no pets allowed.
