And it's probably for nothing, but I had a mammogram done on Thurs it was to be routine take 4 picture and be done a 30-45 min procedure, nope I was there 3 hrs. Had the normal 4 taken and the radiologist looked at them, she wanted 4 more from a different view/angle,read those also along with a Dr. the Dr sent me to ultrasound where they( 2 techs and the Dr) scanned my right breast for over an hr talking about lymp nodes, and whispers about stuff i could not understand. I have a 9am appointment with my regular Dr to go over my results tomorrow and the closer it gets the more I worry.

That's really stressful and I am sorry you are going through that. I think anyone would worry.

I have to see a general surgeon and have biopsies done. I have a couple masses and some enlarged lymph nodes.

That totally sucks, Sharon. How quickly are they getting you in?

Call tricare 72 hours from the day they said they would give a referral. Or you can find it online too. After that call every place that does that and is on tricares list around here and new bern or wherever and find the one with the closest apppt. If its not the one they are sending you to, they can change it easily. I do it all the time.

Unless my PCM (who is out in town) submits it as an urgent/ emergency referral it takes 2 weeks. How do I find it online though?

It's just a matter of how fast they push it through, but you can call the referral line 48-72 hours after it's submitted. Squeaky wheels get heard. Then its just how fast can the specialist see you.

You can still call Tricare and ask if they can rush the referral. I know a few years back Tricare was trying to streamline the process for situations like this when time is critical.
