I got a ticket. It's whatever I'm a fucktard and didn't understand how the registration grace period works. I thought it was 15 days after when your registration paper says it expires. Apparently not, the paper takes into account the grace period. It's all good it's my first ticket and It'll be a few points off my base privilege thingy.
Anyways, here is my issue. Have you ever had to go to traffic court with an escort from your husband's command? Or was your husband REQUIRED to go with you? I asked the MP if they were going to notify the command because if not I just wasn't going to mention the ticket and if so I wanted to make sure I emailed him before that info got to him and he told me that I had to get an escort from the command. I think that's bullshit.

My husband says he's never heard of that, unless maybe they think you'll lose your base driving privileges? (He's kinda baffled by the need for an escort, and that's all he could come up with.)
ETA: he says if it was your husband (assuming he's below SNCO ranks), HE would require a SNCO with him, but for YOU to require one is just odd. considering you never signed a contract.

That's what I figured. I've never had a ticket before and it wasn't for speeding so I HIGHLY doubt I would lose my privileges for this one thing. Especially since Monday I'm fixing it and will bring the proof to them.

I got a ticket on base and did not need an escort. Granted, it was for not stopping fully at a stop sign, but still. Dh told his mguns but he was never called. I went to "court" which is basically just some dude behind a counter and he explained to me I would have 4pts off my license on base. That's it!

I'd call down there and ask. I don't see why you'd need an escort, then again the only reason you have a sticker is because you're *sponsored* so maybe that's why they'd call the command. Hell, I dunno.

Just heard back from my friend that use to work in the traffic court office...she says you shouldn't need an escort! I even asked another friend who is a NCIS agent and he said you shouldn't need one either!
But honestly, this base is so ass backwards I would probably still call first thing Monday morning. As long as you weren't put on an immediate suspension you should be good.

I got a ticket on base. I went in, went to the counter, told the guy I was guilty, and left. Pretty simple and I went alone. My husband's command wasn't notified either.
