How does she still qualify? That's ridiculous. Oh, and of course she doesn't think she's doing anything wrong. People are such leeches these days.

It's disgusting.
So she can't afford to buy her own food before winning the lottery, but she can afford to spend money willy nilly on lottery tickets. She's just lucky that she won.
Sadly, there are cases like this all over. FL has done profiling before of several lottery winners that then declared bankruptcy so they could stay in their home free of charge on top of winning the lottery.

Even I agree that she shouldn't get the food stamps.

I honestly believe she really didn't think she was doing anything wrong. Otherwise, why would she admit it? It almost goes to show how our society has no... idk what word to use. Not shame, not pride.. IDK. They're just clueless it seems. I wonder what the payouts look like when you don't take it as a lump sum of money. She may have been able to live comfortably with no job and no welfare for... what, 10 years? 100,000 a year? That would be my strategy. In that time my ass would be getting a masters so that when my 10 years are up I had a damn good job.
Why can't people like me win the lotto? I suppose you have to play to win though. lol I've played scratch off a whole 15 times in my life. Won a $1 here $2 there and then Mike and I wont $50 once. I never played again after that because I was scared that I had won my one time that it was going to happen and I will lose from now on. Ha ha

She's 24, single, she could live a LONG time on that money. Payouts are an annuity paid over 20 or 30 years. So 30 years she would have gotten $33,333 a year based on a 0% interest rate. 20 years would have been $50,000 a year.
If she just reinvested her $550,000 payout after taxes (which she could have invested without having to pay all of the taxes up front) earning a paltry 2% she could pay herself $33,000 a year for 20 years.
She's of the mindset that society must take care of her. Her government is her nanny and she must depend on them. Absolutely no sense of personal responsibility.
