Who knew picking out cabinet knobs and drawer pulls would be so hard. I purchased chrome cabinet hinges, but now I'm rethinking that and might change them to whatever finish the knobs/pulls end up being. I haven't found any chrome knobs I'm thrilled with and will match with the cabinets - I can't really go with modern knobs when the cabinets are 70's looking... This rain needs to stop or I'm never going to get done painting the doors. The dampness is keeping the paint from drying. I really need to get them finished this week - my countertops will probably be ready for install by the end of the week.

It's supposed to dry out later this week. Hopefully.

Dh's grannie died this morning AND the family drama is already starting. I can get him a plane ticket and a rental car fairly cheap, that's not an issue. Funeral is Saturday. The issue seems to be we are flying him in on Friday night and right back out Sunday morning. (We are leaving for Bristol next Monday!!) So his Dad and Sis are already bitching they won't get to spend time with him (that's the whole idea ha!) Then there's his mom and the aunts (grannie's 3 daughters), OMFG! Already bickering over the funeral arrangements, grannie's house and possessions, their brother being executor of the will and planning the funeral, blah, blah, blah.... I really cannot stand these people! And I need to paint this week too Deb, so hopefully it DOES dry up SOON!

I hate when people bicker over a persons things like that. My parents went on a cruise and my parents made their wills. My dad felt like I needed to know everything in it and he told me my older bro would be in charge and if he couldn't I would be. We have 5 kids in the family. If I'm not available it goes to my uncle. My other brothers and my sister were skipped right over. I just hope that's never an issue.

Dh's Mom is skipped in grandparent's will, and her share is divided between Dh and his sister.
The aunt's were even pissed about that when they found out, thought they should get her share.
These two are both holier than thou Christian types, too. Greediest effing hypocrites I have ever met in my life.

I'm sorry gardenwitch. I'm over people this week. I should also never ask my husband to do something like weed the flower bed, and expect he'll do it right. I have no idea what he did, but it did not involve pulling weeds.

Gave notice to my current employer - in turn pissing off employer/department & coworkers so while I'm in a very happy place, I feel bad.

Well my aunts practically stole everything of value out of my Grandma's house even though the lawyer told them not to take anything out.

Last time they got into the house while Grannie was in the hospital, Uncle Jack put a special lock on the doors, and they don't have keys. So he thinks it's ok, but he's not putting it past any of them breaking in!!
At least if they break in, he'll have legal options against them.
