What kind of back problems? Michaels is fucked up beyond all repair but he's staying in and he's sticking with infantry. He has been at the gym his entire leave period building up the strength in his back and he says it feels great between that and the stretches they do at Brazilian Jui Jitzu and Krav Magaw. (both probably spelled entirely different than I put) Im not 100% sure about everything, but what he told me before was that he fell down a ladder on one of the ships he was deployed on. They told him he would be fine, gave him some Motrin and sent him on his way. Well that was 3 years ago and its gotten progressively worse, but of course he waited until he was in severe pain to get it checked out. I guess he has like 3-4 bulged/slipped disks in the top & bottom of his back. Hes on like 3 pain killers, and anti depressent & limited duty. Cant PT, stand for more than 30 minutes, etc. He goes to physical therapy which he said isnt helping, and he starts getting shots? in his back tomorrow. Aside from the way he got injured and time my husband waited to get treated, same shit Michael has. His strap broke on his pack and yanked him to the side causing him to have 2 herniated (bulged) discs in his L2-L3 & L3-L4. Well they said he was fine did an MRI but didn't look at it and sent him to MV where he was forced to train against his MO's orders. Fell off a truck having a huge tripod for a tow gun land on him. He passed out and after getting some other type of imaging done found that he mega screwed up his L3-L4, his L2-L3 is now worse and his L5 is herniated. He got send to a different unit who finally started with physical therapy and Michael said it wasn't enough. He said they were babying him. Then he went to sports med which is kinda the same but they push you more. He wasn't happy with that either because they wouldn't let him push himself as far as he wanted to. SO then they started with the steroid injections in his back and it's been really good since then. But mostly he just had to learn to live with the pain until he started the stuff he has been doing lately. He still hurts every now and then like when he was running a few weeks ago and we ended up in the ER. We thought that was going to be it. His nerve got pinched but when they stretched him at BJJ it rolled out of where it was pinched. He has serious nerve damage on one side of his leg but it doesn't effect him too much. I can pole him with sharp things and he can't feel it from his ass cheek to his pinkie toe. It's amusing.

OH CRAP my aunt wants me to drive down to FL next week to surprise my other aunt for her birthday. I don't wanna drive all that way... Check out Allegiant air's prices. They can be cheaper than driving and a heck of a lot easier.

They can be cheaper than driving and a heck of a lot easier. They fly out of Wilmington and only go to Orlando. I'd still end up driving 3 hours.

Oh That sucks. You going to the West Coast or East? I think they fly into Palm Beach area too. Have you checked any of the rates out of Jville? It's been a couple of years but I did get flights out of there for around $200-300. I think N did one last year for $300ish.

Yay! On V-day we were offered a house on the Army base 15 miles away. We've been on the list since October 6th and we were still number 87 out of 160ish. I didn't expect to get a house before we had to be out of here at the end of April but I guess they've had a lot of notices of PCS so we move in April 5th.
Oh crap! We have to pay rent for both places for almost a month, that's over $4400 plus we owe utilities for our apartment for 3 months after moving.
Yay!!! We got one of the newer houses with a really nice floor plan. 1600 sq ft, 3 bedrooms. But it gets better. Not many houses on base have basements, but we do! AND there is a 2 car garage while most houses have 1 or none. We hit the JACKPOT!

Yay, we are alive! Crap my husband may be retiring this year because of back issues. He's been talking about staying until 30 but his back is getting worse and wants to get out before he's totally broke. Plus, none of the guys in his MOS are retiring so it will probably be another 5 years before he's in the zone.
