I usually plant my lettuces, onions, carrots, radishes, and spinach in March. Basically any of the leafy greens you like are great in the spring around here. They die off in summer, it's too hot.
They may not sprout right away, but will as soon as the soil warms enough for the seeds. Tomatoes and peppers need some warmer weather first.
If you want some dirt, I need to get rid of mine before June.
When September rolls around, plant all your leafy stuff again for a fall crop.

Cankles, anytime, we can use the truck and move it over. I have two 4'x8'x10" beds I'm not going to plant anything in, and one 4x4 I'm going to go ahead and do my lettuces in for spring. The wood frames are just getting tossed (not pressure treated so they are only good for a few years.) Oh and it's organic as possible, I don't use anything that's not OMRI certified/approved in the vegie beds.
Then there's a 3x3 and a L shaped trough planter that also need emptied.
I grow a lot of stuff.............I'm trying to figure out how to sneak my Sago palms and a avocado tree out to Cali. They have gotten HUGE. I don't want to give them away! Shshhhhh......
Sarah, let me get settled and I'll hook you up.
