I do all the time, just the cheapy polyfill ones. I suggest doing two at a time, one on either side, otherwise the washer will be unbalanced and walk across the floor.

I know they take them at the pharmacy at the exchange, not sure about the hospital.

The only time they can't is if they don't carry it. We ran into this all the time when Michael was on different pain meds. They didn't carry the strength he was prescribed at the hospital.
