Husband's boss is a major ass for so many reasons. I could write a book on his douchy ways. Husband has a sleep study tonight for possible sleep apnea which runs in the family (which his asshole boss replied "sleep is a crutch"). He has to be at the hospital at 8 and the boss wouldn't let him leave until after 7 claiming it doesn't take longer than an hour to get there. Although the asshole doesn't use the metro so how he thinks he's knowledgeable in that department I don't know, meanwhile I used to go twice a week for months. When I informed him that I was really worried about him making it I looked it up and he's so screwed. If he literally runs to the metro from his office he'll make it to his metro stop right at 8. Then he has to walk a little over 1/2 a mile to the hospital, find where he needs to go (he's always lost in that hospital). Just one of a long list of reasons his boss is an ASS.

BTW, same boss who almost caused him permanent foot damage which would result in him never being able to run again and possibly kicked out of the Marines, not eligible for reenlistment. He has a minor foot surgery requiring 3 days SIQ but boss said no and made him run around on it. Busted a stitch by a major artery and doc said 1 more and he'd be toast, then was put on 3 weeks SIQ and crutches.

Husband RAN to the metro and it JUST closed unexpectedly which is major, that doesn't just happen. He's screwed!!

His phone was cutting out and he said the station was closed but I guess he meant then entrance near the exit and he just had to walk farther to another entrance. I was totally freaking out for him! He's still going to be late though

Leave the laptop out of it and absolutely! He's such a miserable person. He acts like he needs to babysit my husband when he's never needed babysitting. He's filling a billet 3 ranks higher than his as well as doing some of their work which isn't in his job description. And anything comm/computer/tech related that should be handled by other departments he also takes care of in addition to many other tasks because nobody else would do them. He's a hard worker who goes way above and beyond and I'm sick of this guy acting like he needs to hold my husband's hand. Husband did that job with excellent reviews for a year and a half before this guy came along.

I'm totally confused how this guy thinks he can tell my husband how long it will take to get somewhere by the metro when he doesn't use it. He lives over an hour away so at MOST he may have used it a few times on the weekend, if he's ever used it at all. Husband wasn't "allowed" to leave the office until after 7 and it takes 15 minutes to get to the metro from his office, so even with that guy's hour theory, that's only 45 minutes. When I told him he was going to be late he ran out 5 minutes early and made it in 10 mins soaking wet. I'm probably more pissed than he is but he's pretty fed up as well.

It's been like that in all 3 places he's worked. He's had multiple surgeries with convalescent leave that either wasn't granted or he was only granted part of it or 1/2 days. Including 2 major stomach surgeries. I suppose he could have fought it but unfortunately even if what they did wasn't right, he was more afraid of the consequences of fighting it. I get so irate about it and tell him to tell them to fuck off. He doesn't seem to think that's as funny as I do.

LOL, we have a joke about Dh's old boss, that he must have a pretty sucky home life since it's pretty obvious he never wants to be there and thinks everyone else should work 24/7 as well.
