I also make homemade garlic bread by adding oregano and crushed/sliced garlic while in the mixer, and brush the top of the loaves with olive oil before baking. Really I'm sure you could mix in about anything. It's all experimental for me.

My mom just gave me her old one, and I have no idea what to do with it. lol I lied- it's an OLD Hamilton Beach one. It screams 1970s. Oh lol The KA hasn't changed the way they look except for adding colors and now the lift ups. But the style is still exactly the same.

BUY IT!!
Shoot, a shorter list would be what DON'T I use mine for? I even toss potatoes in there to make mashed potatoes when I don't want to use the hand mixer. Whip, whip and they are DONE! LOL!
Charley bought me some pasta attachments and the drying rack for Christmas, so at least once a week we make whole wheat pasta now in addition to everything else! It's super easy too!

I use mine fore everything. I can make pasta from scratch, grate cheese, slice veggies, make ice cream, make anything that you can bake since you half to mix almost everything etc. BUY IT!!
Also, mine is about to be 27 years old and still going strong.

I've used garlic powder as well but of course fresh tastes better.

The reviews on Amazon suggest that the newest ones have cheap Chinese made motors that burn out much sooner than their predecessors. My heart sank. My KitchenAid blender suffers from poor, cheap product design that people complain about in reviews of, so I'm inclined to believe the negative reviews about the new mixers as well. You'd be better off with a relic from a garage sale.

I have a food processor from Kitchenaid I bought about a year ago and it's worked wonderfully. I've put it through some stuff too.

I have a kitchen-aid food processor too, I can't even remember when I bought it but it had to be about 10 years ago. Everything is still like new on it, I haven't even had to replace the blade or anything!
