You know how I was telling you how things were being stolen from Grandma's estate. She got $185,000 from a settlement that is NOT accounted for. And out of 26 lock boxes she had only the ones that my mom had keys to had money left in it.
I am SO mad. I called the sheriff, they basically said it's a civil suit and nothing can be done until the estate is settled. My aunt just bought a $15,000 truck and was buying a new car today. SHE IS ON DISABILITY (for being crazy). I'm so mad. I hope all of them rot.

Every single one of my mom's valuable rings came up missing. Anddd one of my sisters is sooo hell bent on selling my mom's house that I am living in because I gave up my job and base house to move back here and take care of my mom. All four of us kids just received over $22,000 from my mom's retirement...how much more money do you freakin' need?! Things get so ugly when people pass away.

That's awful! My family was bad when my grandma died, but not that bad!
It sucks that you can't do anything.

AND the lock boxes that my mom was in charge of had $14,000 cash in each of them. Hmm, seems a little suspicious that the lock boxes that mom wasn't in charge of came up empty. There was money in each and every one of them at one point, but Lord only knows when the money was actually taken out of them. UGH it pisses me off. I'm reporting the aunt to welfare fraud, because she doesn't need to be on that if she has all this money. I want the freaking IRS on her ass asking her about all this money she suddenly has. I want cops busting down her f*cking door.
But that will never happen. UGH. I hope she rots. I hope all of them do.

Why did so many people have keys and access?
Dh's Mom and the one Aunt are trying to fight grannies will, but she videotaped it years ago when she was perfectly healthy. They are still screwed out of the oil money. Best damn family secret ever!

I don't know why. My Grandma was very sick for years and pretty scared of one of the aunts. Two of them treated her horribly and they were her caretakers after my Grandpa left. I wish she would have had all that stuff in an actual ACCOUNT instead of the damn safety deposit boxes, but she was old, paranoid and stuck in her ways. She had money stashed everywhere, in pockets of coats, taped inside dressers.

Shelby, my grandma did that too! She was convinced that my aunt was going to take all her stuff. My dad and I were there when she passed, so that's the only way her house wasn't picked over. He changed the locks the next day and had her neighbor call him if anyone was sniffing around. It was ridiculous.

What's with these people? Dh is supposed to be getting some land from the estate and they are already nagging his cousin(the one aunts son) to get dh to sign it over to the cousin. Um, no? Not like we need more empty land but the taxes are minimal so it doesn't hurt us to keep it.

It seems like when someone passes away everyone is worried about getting their share whether it screws someone else over or not. It sucks that my mom didn't have a will which makes it 10x harder.
