I flew with J by myself when she was 6 months and she was a horrid baby (yes that's awful of me but she was compared to the other two), but she did fine on the plane as long as she had a bottle for the adjustment in altitudes.

My husband is retiring. His ceremony is 6/8 and official last day is 8/31. He goes on terminal 6/22 and is technically on PTAD right now. He starts his new job on 6/25. He will be working at MCLB Albany in GA. We really wanted to be in Jacksonville, FL BUT the job came through in Albany. It's great money but we still want to go back to FL so this is our transition. It's so much easier to look/get a job when you have a job that you can put in your 2 weeks instead of the "well I'll be retired in xxx amount of days etc, etc, etc." This move is going to be a pain in my arse as well. He leaves ahead of us then we vacate 7/15, go to my parents in FL because we are going to Disney on 7/21. Then we have to head to GA and get the spawns registered in school - which starts on 8//10. I can't believe how early they start!

I'd be bouncing out of my skin if Dh retired and had a job lined up!
I have to get dressed up and mind my P's and Q's for a hail and farewell tomorrow night (Dh is being hailed haha!)......grrrrr, I already wore dressy dresses three times this year, that makes two over my limit!

I love Bend!! I spent my summers there growing up! My folks had a summer house at a resort south of there called Sunriver.

One of my friends' parents also have a home in Sunriver. We can see Sisters and Brokentop from a few miles from our house. I've never been but I'm excited, we're leaving in a couple hours

Lol @ Brokentop. My grandpa and other Oregon oldsters called it something else. Three finger Jack.
I didn't figure that out until I was 20 or so bwhaha!
There's another one too, but it's much smaller. Some outlaw roamed the area and was killed there. Brokentop was called that because it had one finger for each sister ;D

My MIL was telling me about that yesterday, but we couldn't figure out why exactly it was called Three Finger Jack.
We are home and I survived the trip (barely).
