I've been avoiding the comp because it's been mostly pretty out the past 2 weeks, and browsing on my phone is a PITA. I've just been doing a bunch of gardening and landscaping and spring cleaning lately. How is everyone?

We got the kitchen and dining room completed. We moved on to the home office... There was paneling that appeared to be nailed... It was also glued, so now we have to fix walls. I really need to get out in the yard and get the garden started and the pool opened. Youngest only has a 4 1/2 week summer vacation this year - he's going from elementary school, which is a traditional calendar to middle school, which is on a year round calendar. He goes back to school July 15th!!! Oldest will be a senior this coming school year. YIKES!!! College is just around the corner now.

LOL, Title Company called and told us we are getting our keys a day early as they are crunching to get several other people's paperwork done by the 31st and our's is done. So we get house keys Wednesday (shutters were supposed to be installed today) 27 days from deposit to Home Sweet Home! AND we are getting the deposit back, so no closing costs at all! Builder paid it all!
Your yard is looking really good!

Oh man Deb, sorry it's being a pain!!!
We found out there is a good chance our middle child will get immediately bumped up from kindergarten to first grade this fall. He had barely missed the age cutoff last year.
GW I wish our mortgage had gone so smoothly lol. Congratulations!
Nothing cooking right now, like I said just been busy in the house and yard. Tonight my MIL is watching the boys for us though, so we are headed to the casino. Its the first babysitter we've had since the ball!!!!!!!!!!!

Your next door neighbor's house looks like it's right against the fence!
Do they have windows on that side of the house?

Is the 2nd story on your house a later addition?
We are buying a new dryer tomorrow, which really irks me because there's absolutely nothing WRONG with my cheap old Whirlpool except it's electric and the house is gas.

GW,
Couldn't the builder put a 220 outlet in for you, so you could still use your electric dryer?

If we had gotten to it before it was drywalled then maybe, now we'd need a permit to change anything.
EVERY house we looked at was gas for the hot water and dryer at least. Gas is cheap, my oven, heater and fireplace are gas too. The electric is backed up with solar power.

Their house is a few feet away from the fence. They installed that portion themselves for privacy, all the backyards were fenced by contractors and they are all connected.
Our home is 4 years old, that's not an addition, it's just got funky coloring - the rest of the neighborhood has similar patterns.
We juts had to replace our washer because the drum cracked. Then our coffee grinder went out. Then our kitchen faucet suddenly deciding exploding was a good idea. And yesterday we got a new tv cuz the one in our bedroom kind of crapped out on us so we cant use a remote anymore. After J bought it, we realized we could hook computer speakers up to it......oh well, looks like the kids are getting our hand me downs, lol.

Bwhaha @ exploding faucet, been there, done that!!
Your house is only 4 years old and stuff is breaking already? (didn't the heater break too?) I guess I better check some warranty's on the stuff here!
My tankless hot water heater is not putting out hot water. Dh was pretty ticked at 5 am as I talked him into spending the night here so he'd have a super hot shower this morning. We even got the bed out of storage last night so we could sleep in our own bed.....ooops, my bad.
The good news is my solar has already fired up this morning!! (it automatically shuts off when it isn't receiving enough sun to produce power)

yes the furnace needed a whole new circuit board. the problem is the house is 4 years old however we are the first owners. there were renters for about 6 months when it was a year old but otherwise it has sat empty. everything has been covered except our washer of course since that wasnt included in the house. im damn sure paying to keep the warranty going, lol.

Hey!!!! I've been SUPER M.I.A ... Holleigh is almost 6 months old already! How fast time is FLYING! Next week H and I are flying to the east coast to see my sister in and then we fly on to Boston for a wedding .... First time flying with H ... and I am doing it alone ... its a loooooong flight - I hope she's good. She's such an easy baby Work has been horrid ... absolutely horrid and I've never quit a job (with the exception of PCS or moving) and I've put up with a lot but this job is just unreal ... its to the point where I can tell my health is declining a bit due to the excessive stress. I need to figure out what I'm going to do ... suck it up and keep with it or come up with a new game plan On the UP side our new house is fabulous and I am loving the neighborhood!
