So I'm in the market for a dress to wear to my husband's retirement. For you savvy online shoppers, where is a good place to find appropriate dresses. I'm not a dress person other than the ball. Most of the sites I've seen are a little too dressy for what I'm looking for. TIA I posted it on the LU also for maximum input.

I know it's hard avoiding the temptation of sexual security guards, but did you look in Ross?

I know right. What more could I ask for, cheap dresses and eye candy. lol
I just started thinking about it today so I haven't looked anywhere. I will actually get off my arse and go look in about a month. I'm just trying to get ideas right now.
I have these shoes and was hoping to match something to them but if I don't, it's no biggie - just means I have to buy more shoes. ;P
I am not a heels or dress person (unless it's the ball) so I want to be comfortable but presentable. My normal jeans, shirt and flip flops isn't going to cut it this time. lol

Did you check Macy's or Nordstrom's? White House Black Market is good, too.

I like modcloth. www.modcloth.com, they have a lot of different styles. Mainly it's classic/vintage inspired and geared toward a younger crowd. It can still be appropriate for all ages. I think I found it through someone that used to be on here.

I actually found a dress by accident at the exchange. I'm Still going to look in case I find something I like better. But at least I have one to fall back on. It was scary seeing me in a shorter dress. lol. Its been about 10 years since I've worn something above the knees.
