I'm coming back to NC to visit. My best friend lives there (she's a local). I miss her like crazy. I miss the ocean and having stuff to do. Sadly, DH doesn't have vacation so it will just be me, a friend and my kids. I'm super excited though  ! |

YAY! My friend up here got vacation for the week I'll be down. That way she can have a vacation and I don't have to drive by myself! We got a lodge at Onslow Beach. I've never been in them before, has anyone here?
I'm so excited. I know most of you don't know me but if you'd like to see me when I'm down there I'll be there from May 1st to like May 6th.

We should! I look like Hell but I would totally be down for it! I plan on being at the beach a LOT. My friend Hailey has never been to the beach and I miss NC so much. I live in IOWA. I may not want to come back here! Haha.

Oh so funny story, Hailey said "I've never been to the ocean before...well I've been to Lake of the Ozarks"
I just looked at her and said "Did you really just say that?" Haha this should be an interesting trip. It will be so weird to be back down there.
We has the kids birthday party today and it was awesome.

I think you need your own bedding for the lodges (sleeping bags, pillows, towels) but everything else is supplied besides food.
We'll be staying at the campground out there so we can clean the house in a few weeks. 15.00 a night is a lot cheaper than a hotel, plus they don't charge extra for the dogs.

I googled onslow beach and went to the mccs website and then it said something about lodging. I can get you the link when I get home.

Oh yeah I found those. I'm not finding the $15/night with no added pet charge ones. But these will work for us when we are PCSing. |
