Eh no I don't think nigger = Christian even if she is saying she hates Christians. its not. Christian is not a derogatory term in an form. The n word is.

I referred to all use of the N word. Meanie said it herself too. That's why I was developing a twitch. That and I hate seeing people truly argue like that. Conflict hurts my heart. Sure it's just a word but generally speaking during an argument it's not used as a term of endearment.

Yeah, that's just not comparable. Blubbs is always nasty and underhanded, and meanie may have said a few unkind things, but it's nowhere the same.

Yep, just reread Blubber's comment. She didn't call you one Meanie. She put it in the same context as your little picture that you find so funny. You guys want to defend Meanie & act so offended FOR her because of Blubbers just using the n word in the same context as Meanie used Christian..... but you don't see how/nor say how Meanie was wrong, was bigoted and just as offensive. Just proves once again, it's ok to hate on Christians, but not anyone else. Blubber's said that Meanie would feel/react the same way if that were done, if she posted a picture stating such.... and Meanie did flip out. Merely at the suggestion of it. Exactly. |

Calling Christians (an entire group) "haters" and "bigots" because of their beliefs is EXACTLY the same as calling a white person married to a black person a nigger lover. They are both exact examples of being bigoted and hateful to a particular group or person because you disagree with their view. Did I ever say it's RIGHT to call someone a nigger lover? No. Matter of fact the point was the exact opposite, it's not right. |

It bothers me when people stick up for people who are wrong just because they share views or are friendly with them. It bothers me when they just sit back and be quiet too. Meanie was being a bitch. I don't care why her views are what they are or if Blubbers made it more specific to one person. Meanie was offensive and turned things into personal attacks far sooner than others. Blubbers made the same stupid comments and rousing attempts as always. Yes she tried to get a rise out of meanie and she is more frequently a wench but meanie was just as bad in this thread. One offensive word doesn't make that different.
And the n word used by black people isn't meant as a slur while from other races it is. Christian isn't meant as a slur by Christians but to many others it is. It holds the connotation of bigots and hypocites and hate-mongers to people like meanie. That's exactly how she was using it.

If you claim to be a Christian but are hatful,rude and nasty to others constantly,to minorities,Religions other than your own, etc well I am going to cal you out on it,I am going to think of you as a hypocrite and as a judgemental buttwipe. If that makes me a hypocrite so be it I am a big girl.

My comment was to anyone who felt the need to be offended FOR Meanie, who felt the need to defend Meanie's words. Meanie was hateful and her use of the word Christian was meant as a slur, the same way the N word is used as a slur.
Since pretty much all the ones posting in this thread proclaim they are not Christians, of course you will stick up for her and see it as not a slur. Because that is very often how a lot of you use the term, post pictures of, talk about spaghetti monsters, & zombie's. I'm sure there will be at least 1 zombie picture coming up here on Easter.
I have NEVER had a problem with meanie until now. Ever. She crossed the line very intentionally.
